The Marine & Offshore department has successfully renewed the full SCC** certification, in line with the other departments of Ravebo. What is it and why does it matter?
‘SCC’ is the abbreviation for Safety, health and environment (SHE) Checklist Contractors. It is intended for companies to operate with greater safety awareness. At Ravebo we believe the safety of our engineers, together with the staff on board, should be number one priority.
The SSC certifications is mostly intended for companies that carry out work with an increased risk in a higher-risk environment. It is a comprehensive programme for testing and certifying the SHE management systems of service companies. Part of it is creating TRA’s (Task-Risk-Analysis), to have an in-depth view on possible risks our engineers could encounter, and more important, how to avoid them and which precautions can be taken.

While the SCC** certification is not mandatory, we still decided to apply initially and renew since then in order to maximize our staff’s safety both onboard and in our workshop. Because safety comes first. And when you request us to attend, you know it happens in the most safe way possible.
