Addressing Cargo Valve Seating Challenges in the Shipping Industry
Understanding the Diverse Cargo Challenges
Shipping companies often overlook the type of cargo a ship can carry, as they are pressured by charter companies to accept a variety of cargoes, which can sometimes lead to significant losses and problems. Last year, the company Magnus experienced issues with 2 ships while loading naphtha because the seats of the cargo valves were not suitable for naphtha, resulting in severe damage to the NBR seals. Due to these problems, the ships were not operational, leading to substantial losses for the owners. We were requested to supply our special NBR/PTFE seats, which are highly resistant to aggressive products.
Swift Solution with Readily Available Stock
The seats could be delivered very quickly thanks to a large stock in Rotterdam, which meant less loss for the owner.
