Advanced Oxygen Monitoring Solutions with OXUS O2 Analyzers
Ravebo and Kangrim Partnership
Ravebo, based in the Port of Rotterdam, is the service/sales representative for the boiler/IGG manufacturer Kangrim. Given that all IGGs are equipped with at least one oxygen analyzer, we encounter many brands fitted on them, e.g., Green Instruments, Servomex, etc., which all have to be serviced at certain intervals or when the unit fails. Due to EEC regulations, it’s challenging and difficult to obtain spares for these units. We at Ravebo have decided to start with the brand OXUS. This OXUS O2 analyzer is a premium oxygen analyzer manufactured in South Korea. This analyzer fulfills all the shipping regulations and can be easily installed into the existing system. It is equipped with a Zirconia sensor that also benefits from a long lifespan. The calibration of the unit can be done by the crew and has to be checked either weekly, monthly, or 3 monthly depending on the application. At this moment, Ravebo has the complete units and the spares of this O2 analyzer OXUS model OA-Z-IG in stock. This stock - in combination with our specialized engineers - results in on-time repairs.
Innovative Design and Functionality of OA-Z-IG Oxygen Analyzer
This OA-Z-IG Oxygen Analyzer is designed to measure the oxygen concentration in an environment where the combustion gases of oil or gas fuels flow and to transmit the oxygen concentration and other required information through visual or electric signals to users and related equipment. This OA-Z-IG Oxygen Analyzer uses a Zirconia sensor. The Zirconia used here is yttrium-doped zirconium dioxide which has oxygen ion conductivity at high temperatures. There are electrodes on both sides of Zirconia. The oxygen gas is ionized to Zirconia at the anode (+), moves to the cathode (-), and transforms back to gas. Because the current amount for the applied voltage varies by the oxygen concentration, the oxygen concentration can be calculated. Because the Zirconia sensor uses the nature of Zirconia, it is non-consumable, has a long lifespan, has few measurement drifts, and outputs purity in a stable manner. The cell consists of two Zirconia squares coated with a thin porous layer of Platinum which serve as electrodes. The Platinum electrodes provide the catalyst necessary for the measured oxygen to dissociate, allowing the oxygen ions to be transported in and out of the Zirconia. The two Zirconia squares are separated by a Platinum ring which forms a hermetically sealed sensing chamber. At the outer surfaces, there are two further Platinum rings which, along with the center Platinum ring, provide the electrical connections to the cell. Two outer Alumina discs filter and prevent any particulate matter from entering the sensor and also remove any un-burnt gases.
